Review by hotel critic
During my recent stay at Trimstone Manor Hotel, I experienced a charming mix of rustic charm and warm hospitality nestled in the enchanting Devon countryside. Upon arrival, the welcoming staff greeted us with genuine friendliness, instantly making us feel at home—a must for any weary traveler. The hotel itself is steeped in history, featuring stunning gardens that house a delightful array of rescued birdlife, adding a unique touch to the serene environment. Although our room had some quirks, the well-kept gardens and the relaxed ambiance more than made up for it, allowing for leisurely afternoons exploring the sheer beauty of the estate. For those willing to venture beyond the grounds, the hotel’s location means having your own transport is advisable, especially if you're keen on discovering the local culinary scene or sampling nearby breweries—what a treat that would be! And don’t miss the on-site restaurant, which serves a delightful array of British cuisine, perfect for winding down after a day of exploration. I left with fond memories and a profound appreciation for the charm of Devon, eager to return.
